Sashiko Fabric - Panel #2095 - Umezawa Manor in Sagami Province
This preprinted Japanese Sashiko fabric features the woodblock print called Umezawa Manor in Sagami Province created in the early 1830s by the artist Hokusai and is part of Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, the most famous of which is The Great Wave off Kanagawa. This design includes cranes on a shoreline and in the air around Mount Fuji. Stitch on stamped lines with Sashiko thread, embroidery floss or pearl cotton. White stamped lines dissolve in water. Panels are 100% navy blue cotton and measure 14" x 28" each. Stamped design is 14" square, covering half of the panel, and a plain square, which can be used as the back of a pillow or bag, makes up the other half. Due to the dense nature of this panel, Kallisti recommends that you stitch with THIN thread.
